Reframe encourages students to go out into their community and capture it the way they see it. Using simple technology, students work in groups to create a movie about their community which is then premiered at their local cinema.
In order to develop a sense of ownership and responsibility, Reframe reaches disengaged students whilst stretching the more able. Students work with considerably more independence and freedom than is usually expected at primary level – often yielding extraordinary results.
Supported by our team and partners, the students benefit from workshops and get real experiences of the film-making industry. They lead and manage the project from conception, story boarding, filming, editing to adding special effects to the movie.
