National College for School Leadership, an organisation responsible for training and developing in excess of 10,000 school leaders each year, turned to us to write a series of case studies capturing key lessons from school building programmes and the impact of environments on learning.
We were tasked with researching, visiting, and interviewing staff at over 70 schools across the primary, secondary and special educational needs sectors. Each case study focussed on the users, rather than just the architecture, to help the intended audience of educational professionals prepare for their own building or refurbishment programmes.
Case studies were published by the college in handy booklets to be distributed to their leadership programmes. We also update the case studies on a regular basis to show longitudinal change.
